Mapleton School District 32 is a small district with big goals for its 145 elementary, middle and high school students. Seeking to provide a supportive and safe learning environment where students are encouraged and empowered to reach their educational and personal potential is their mission, and they work to achieve it by nurturing student curiosity and building strong partnerships with the community. With its small enrollment, Mapleton SSD is able to keep class sizes small and focus on Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a philosophy focused on creating a more equitable, student-centered teaching approach to help all students succeed.

Mapleton Middle School is home to the Mapleton Community Resource Center, one of two school-based resource centers developed by the Western Lane Health Network to help children and families gain better access to health care in western Lane County.
